Q: Are patient signatures acknowledging receipt of our Notice of Privacy Practices good forever, or must they be updated each year?
A: You must make a good faith effort to obtain a patient signature when you first distribute the notice. Unless there's a change in your policy, there's no need for you to update signatures. There's nothing stopping you, of course, from distributing a notice more often.
