Physicians retaliate against AMA on Twitter

When the American Medical Association came out with a strong endorsement for the Tom Price nomination to head the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, a grassroots organization took action to let the AMA know it doesn't speak for all physicians.

When the American Medical Association came out with a strong endorsement for the Tom Price nomination to head the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, a grassroots organization took action to let the AMA know it doesn't speak for all physicians.

The organization, the Clinician Action Network, wrote a letter protesting the AMA endorsement and encouraged physicians to let it know that Price would not be good for healthcare. In a week, the letter had more than 5,200 signees and the movement spawned the hashtag #notmyama on Twitter.

Here’s what those who took to the social media platform had to say.
