With demand outstripping supply in many specialties, hospitals and other healthcare facilities increasingly are turning to locum tenens physicians to meet their needs. Staff Care, a firm that matches locum tenens providers with healthcare organizations, recently surveyed more than 200 healthcare executives about use of locum tenens at their facilities during the previous 12 months.
