If you are a clinician looking for a job in digital health, consider these things:
1. Be sure you have something other than an MD after your name that adds value. Can you deliver these things?
2. Don't quit your day job until or unless you wake up realizing that digital health is your day job.
4. Expect this to be a temporary, part time, rotating, sick care gig
5. Be sure there is a good fit and that you can play nice with others on the team
6. Do not expect to be paid what you are being paid now
7. Build personal brand equity so people can find you , not vice versa
8. Walk before you run and have Plan B
9. Be sure you understand the expectations and scope of work
10. Don't give things away just because you want a foot in the door or people stroke your ego
11. Being an investor does not entitle you to a say in how the company is run any more than other investors.
Finding a job as a physician in digital health is mostly about knowing yourself and your abilities and knowing lots of other people who can open some doors. Don't knock on them unless you are prepared to walk in.
