A new report finds many states are simplifying their Medicaid enrollment processes, making it easier to identify and sign-up qualified applicants.

In Armstrong vs. Exceptional Child Center, several providers for developmentally disabled Medicaid patients sued the State of Idaho after officials failed to increase Medicaid payments as required under a formula approved by the federal government.

Patients and providers in a number of states have used the court system in an effort to increase Medicaid fees and access to care for Medicaid patients. But a new case out of Idaho could limit the ability of patients and providers to sue over Medicaid fees.
