Philips announced the launch of its next-generation MRI solution, SmartSpeed Precise, powered by dual artificial intelligence engines. The latest innovation builds upon the company’s Compressed Sense and SmartSpeed technologies, promising faster scan times and improved diagnostic image quality across the Philips MR portfolio, according to the company.

According to Philips, SmartSpeed Precise enables scans to be completed up to three times faster while delivering an 80% improvement in image sharpness. The dual-AI engine enhances visualization, aiming to provide more confident and accurate diagnoses. Integrated with the latest MR Workspace software, the technology features a zero-click workflow designed to reduce manual intervention and streamline radiology workflows.

At this year’s European Congress of Radiology, Philips also introduced Smart Reading, a cloud-based, AI-driven quantitative reporting tool that enhances decision-making for clinicians. The company's zero-click AI solutions aim to ensure data-driven efficiency in MRI, reducing workload while improving diagnostic capabilities.

“Perfectly aligned with this year’s ECR theme, ‘Planet Radiology’—which emphasizes better patient care while protecting the planet—Philips is tackling two critical challenges: expanding global access to precision care and advancing environmental sustainability,” said Ioannis Panagiotelis, global business leader, MRI at Philips, in a statement. “By integrating high-performance AI engines across our entire portfolio of new and installed helium-free BlueSeal scanners, we are revolutionizing MRI efficiency while reducing environmental impact. These innovations ensure that more patients worldwide can access high-quality imaging, while health care providers benefit from more sustainable and cost-effective operations.”
