The top fine dining restaurant in the United States is located in none other than Chicago, Illinois, according to TripAdvisor’s 2016 Travelers’ Choice awards for restaurants. Alinea serves modern American cuisine, but the other top spots range in menu.
Good food is as essential to travel as is good lodging, but not all tasty meals come at a high price. This year, the travel planning and booking site also analyzed responses from its users to cook up a ranking of the top 10 bargain restaurants in the US.
“Thanks to the insights from the millions of tastemakers in the TripAdvisor community, we’re excited to recognize the top restaurants around the world,” says Barbara Messing, chief marketing officer for TripAdvisor. “This esteemed restaurants list can be consulted for a special night out, a meal without breaking the bank, or anyone looking to book a special gourmet getaway.”
