8 cities with the worst inflation

See which cities are being impacted the most by inflation.

While the rate of inflation has been cooling since its 9% peak two years ago, it remains higher than the Federal Reserve's target of 2%.

While the Fed feels optimistic about the rate and recently announced that it would maintain the key interest rate, the impact of inflation is still being felt with businesses and consumers.

Yet, inflation isn't felt equally across the country with some areas experiencing a far greater impact year over year, and even month over month.

A report from personal finance company WalletHub looked at the impact of inflation on 23 major cities in the U.S.

These are the eight cities that have been impacted the most by inflation. The following rankings are based on changes in the consumer price index over two months and over a year.

You can find the cities that were least impacted here.
