An osteopathic perspective on Match 2025: How osteopathic medicine can Make America Healthy Again

The new administration of President Donald J. Trump has begun its intiative to Make America Healthy Again. The osteopathic medical community was honored to be the first physician organization invited to the White House to meet with the Secretary of Health and Human Services, aiming to both support shared goals and educate on areas needing better alignment, said Teresa A. Hubka, DO, president of the American Osteopathic Association. Their focus was on protecting essential programs like Medicaid, Medicare, teaching health centers, and telehealth, while advocating for increased research funding — especially in osteopathic medicine and nutrition — to ensure continued, comprehensive care for patients of all ages.
