Oprah takes on obesity

Television talk legend Oprah Winfrey will host “An Oprah Special: Shame, Blame and the Weight Loss Revolution,” at 8 p.m. EDT Monday, March 18. The show will gather “the country’s leading medical experts” to discuss obesity, rapidly becoming “one of the biggest health care crises the world has ever known.” They will review the revolutionary new antiobesity medications that could turn the tide for patients, according to the official description by ABC, which will air the special. Hulu has it the next day. By the way, People magazine has Oprah’s comments about decades of public scrutiny of her own weight.
