CMS launches EHR incentive programs Web site

The Centers for Medicare and Medicare Services (CMS) has launched the Web site for its electronic health record incentive programs.

The site includes detailed, up-to-date information about the programs, including eligibility and registration information, EHR training and events schedules, and meaningful use facts. It also includes links to frequently asked questions about health information technology (HIT) and the Office of the National Coordinator of HIT and other government offices.

The programs will provide incentive payments to eligible professionals and hospitals as they adopt, implement, upgrade, or demonstrate meaningful use of certified EHR technology.
