How many novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases were announced today?

The COVID Tracking Project is a volunteer effort to compile federal and state data in regards to new COVID-19 cases, including number of positive and negative tests. Data on vaccination comes from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Here’s the latest data, updated on February 12:

Positive tests: 27,166,267

Negative tests: 126,339,495

Number of hospitalized patients: 74,225

Patient deaths: 465,580

Total vaccine doses distributed: 68,285,575

Patients who've received the first dose: 34,723,964

Patients who’ve received the second dose: 11,188,782
