The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force has published its final recommendation statement on “Falls Prevention in Community-Dwelling Older Adults: Interventions.” An analysis of 29 trials showed that exercise could make a significant reduction in the number of falls over time for the residents. This year’s crowd of climbers included a marathoner running to break the stigma surrounding mental health, an issue that physicians and other clinicians encounter when they consider their own needs.
