The American Heart Association and Delta Dental have launched a new campaign to create a new standard of care for heart health screenings at dentists’ offices. There are more than 134,000 dental offices around the nation and 27 million patients see their dentist each year, but not a physician.

Dexter Scott King, son of civil rights icon Martin Luther King Jr., died of prostate cancer Jan. 22, 2024, the same day MLB Hall of Famer Ryne Sandberg announced he is battling the disease.
