Q&A: Free care for referrals?

Q: I've been thinking about offering free care to the families and staff of referring doctors, for referring patients. Are there any guidelines?

It's a good idea to talk to a medical practice attorney or refer to your state and federal guidelines before engaging in business practices considered standard in other industries that may be illegal in the medical field.
