Research firm ranks medical IT software vendors

Greenway Medical PrimeSuite Chart took top honors in multiple categories in research firm KLAS's annual rankings of the best-performing healthcare IT software and services vendors.

The 2009 Top 20 Best in KLAS Awards: Software & Professional Services report is based on evaluations by thousands of healthcare providers in the United States and Canada. KLAS rankings measure performance in product quality, implementation, and service and support.

Greenway Medical PrimeSuite Chart won in the categories ambulatory EMR (EHR) for practices with 2 to 5 physicians, 6 to 25 physicians and practice management systems for practices with 6 to 25 physicians.

For practices with more than 100 physicians, Epic EpicCare Ambulatory was named best EHR and Epic Resolute/Prelude/Cadence won for best practice management system.
