Some well-known apps are collecting a surprising amount of data from you. How many of these are on your phone?
If you're like most people, your phone is filled with apps for social media, banking, and individual stores. But what are those apps learning from you and how much of your data is being shared?
The results can be disturbing.
A study conducted by software development company Inoxoft, analyzed the privacy policies of over 5,000 apps from the Apple App Store. They created an index based on various factors to determine which apps are the most invasive.
The level of privacy intrusion was measured and ranked. the results illustrate how cybersecurity awareness matters, even with a mundane app from a store where you shop.
