What primary care doctors can do today to make practicing better

How family medicine physicians can gain back control and empowerment in their careers.

Medical Economics recently sat down with Timothy Hoff, PhD, who wrote the new book, “Searching for the Family Doctor: Primary Care on the Brink.”

Hoff is a professor of management, healthcare systems and health policy at Northeastern University in Boston, and is the author of two other books about primary care: “Next in Line: Lowered Care Expectations in the Age of Retail- and Value-based Health” and “Practice Under Pressure: Primary Care Physicians and Their Medicine in the Twenty-First Century.”

In this video segment, Hoff discusses what family medicine physicians can do, right now, in their work places to improve their careers.
