Is the health care system hostile to the physician-patient relationship?
Medical Economics recently sat down with Timothy Hoff, PhD, who wrote the new book, “Searching for the Family Doctor: Primary Care on the Brink.”
Hoff is a professor of management, healthcare systems and health policy at Northeastern University in Boston, and is the author of two other books about primary care: “Next in Line: Lowered Care Expectations in the Age of Retail- and Value-based Health” and “Practice Under Pressure: Primary Care Physicians and Their Medicine in the Twenty-First Century.”
In this video segment, Hoff discusses why the physician-patient relationship is in crisis.
